Dear Fr. Marcel, the Parish Priest of St Bridget, and the Entire St. Bridget Parish Community,

Greeting from Francis and the entire Ojukwu Family.

Words cannot fully express the depth of our gratitude for the incredible love, care, kindness, and unwavering support that Fr. marcel and the entire St. Bridget Parish community have shown our family. During the difficult time when Francis was in detention, you stood by us in ways we will never forget. Your prayers, sacrifices, words of encouragement, and acts of generosity gave us strength, hope, and comfort when we needed them most.

We offer our special and heartfelt thank to Fr. Marcel for his spiritual guidance, steadfast prayers, compassion, and constant support throughout this challenging journey. His fatherly care, encouragement, and faith were a source of great comfort to our family and helped us remain strong and hopeful despite the difficulties we faced.

To all the parishioners of St. Bridget, thank you for your countless prayers, sacrifices, acts of kindness, messages of support, and genuine love. Many of you prayed fervently for Francis and our family, and we firmly believe that God heard those prayers. Your generosity and faithfulness reminded us that we are part of a loving Christian family that stands together in times of trial and difficulty.

We will never forget the love you showed us, the tears you shared with us, the sacrifices you made on our behalf, and the faith that carried us through. Your support was a true reflection of Christ's love in action and we remain forever grateful.

As a family, we remain forever grateful for all that you have done for us. We pray that God, in his infinite mercy can goodness, will richly reward each one of you. My he continue to strengthen Fr. Marcel, bless your families, grant you good health, peace, joy, and prosperity. May He multiply every seed of kindness you have sown and bless all the work of your hands.

Thank you once again for being such a loving, caring, and faithful parish family. We will always remember your kindness and keep you in our prayers. May God abundantly bless Fr. Marcel, St. Bridget Parish, and every parishioner.

With heartfelt gratitude and love,

Francis and Blessing Ojukwu

Welcome Back Teachers for the 2026-27 School Year! It was a wonderful event welcoming back the 75 staff from Sojourners last week with a delicious BBQ and all the fixings to go with it! The staff who won the door prizes were very grateful for the variety of gift cards they received. Many of the staff have 20-28 years of service at STA!! Lloyd, Kenny and Keva worked diligently all summer to help ensure the school was in great shape when the scholars return on August 24. Thank you to all our volunteers that helped make the welcome back BBQ such a fun event for everyone! We are blessed by our wonderful partnership with STA and pray for a safe and productive school year for all of them.

A sincere thank you to the very generous anonymous parishioner that donated all the new BINGO equipment for our fun BINGO events! The updated equipment will be a great win-win for the BINGO caller and the players! Our parishioners are the most generous parishioners and we are very grateful for all of you! God bless you all!

It was announced this past weekend that Father Marcel has left the Redemptorist order to become a diocesan priest . He came to us as our priest and then became our pastor and now we know that he is here to stay . His incardnation process was long and arduous and his life has changed dramatically. It is apparent that he has come to love Saint Bridget's and the people that God has called him to serve. We, in turn, welcome him with open arms. We are a small community with a small leadership group but, along with our trustees and staff, I want to officially welcome Father and want him to know how fortunate we feel that he has chosen to lead us. As Father Marcel shared last week, we "witnessed" a miracle at St. Bridget's !! Welcome home, Francis Ojukwu! As you know, Francis was detained for almost 6 months in New Mexico . He is now back home with his wife and two young sons. God answered our many prayers and we are so very grateful that our parishioner Francis is home and back at St. Bridget's! Thank you to our dear parishioners and the many others that kept Francis and his family in their prayers. Watch for details on a welcome home celebration hosted by St. Bridget's.
